Monark:
Lookbook

Monark is a curated premium appliance retailer operating under the Sears umbrella. To reposition the brand for a design-conscious audience, I developed a printed lookbook that blends product rigor with lifestyle editorial clarity.

The Challenge

Monark needed a visual system that felt elevated and refined while clearly communicating product and lifestyle content. The lookbook had to appeal to both consumers and trade partners without feeling like a traditional catalog.

Audience

The lookbook was designed for design-minded homeowners as well as trade audiences, including interior designers, architects, and builders. It needed to communicate premium quality at a glance while supporting deeper exploration for those involved in the specification and purchasing process.

Approach & Process

We treated the lookbook as an editorial object. The system balanced clean typography, open grids, and a thoughtful mix of product, lifestyle, and narrative. Photography and layout language worked in service of quality and clarity, not decoration.

Role

Design Director
I led the design system, editorial structure, and layout execution, ensuring typographic rigor and consistency across spreads. I also oversaw print production to align material quality with visual intent.
